"Interesting name." Eren remarked, a faint smile around the corners of his mouth. He had some faint memories about friends who had ancestors around the world and Goodnight's surname was ringing a bell.

But they had never talked about where their families had their roots. They all had been children who had lost most of their families and talking about them was painful. Therefore Eren had no clue what the names of the countries where and who could guarantee him, that in Penance they would go under the same name. But the urge to drop a comment was overwhelming. So he simply said "Your surname ... from which country comes it?"

Inside Eren shook his head. He was about to make a fool out of himself. But the missing geographical knowledge was not entirely his fault. At least this will keep the conversation going.
